VIA FERRATA CRAZY EDDY IN SILZ

Pure adrenaline on the 2-rope bridge over the Inn Valley

The Crazy Eddy via ferrata is a via ferrata with action elements similar to those in a high ropes course. With two different entry points, you can choose between difficulty levels.

If you enter on the right, the simple variant from Level A to Level C awaits you. This entrance is accessible for sporty beginners.

The difficult route – i.e., the left entry point (Level D) – demands full concentration from the very start. Here, you climb a steep rock face (Level D) to a ledge and continue over smooth slabs to the end of the wall. The difficulty gradually decreases, and the fun factor is not neglected. Once you have ascended via various dihedrals and traverses up a ladder (Level B/C), the highlight of the Crazy Eddy via ferrata awaits you: An exposed two-rope bridge (Level C). A head for heights is, of course, a requirement. An incredible view over the Inn Valley awaits you.

After the rope bridge you descend again and hike in steep forest terrain to an abseiling edge. In the steep rock it is well secured to the descent path.

Good to know: Crazy Eddy can also be walked on in uncertain weather conditions and promises lots of fun. However, it should be noted that the walking passages can easily become slippery. Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are essential here. The 2-rope bridge is difficult for small people because the standing and holding ropes are far apart.

When climbing a via ferrata route you start well equipped (climbing harness with climbing set, climbing helmet and hiking shoes) and therefore safely on a secured climbing path, up along the mountain face. Steel ladders, steel pins, brackets (which serve as steps) and steel cables (attached to the rock) help you climb safely to the top. Via ferrata is perfect introduction into climbing. Experience the high mountains and peaks without any climbing experience. No fear of heights and a surefooted step are required for this great experience.
